What would happen if a million citizens of the United States marched into Canada and demanded to be allowed to stay??? Or even into Mexico?? Cuba anyone?

It is illegal in the United States of America to kill or rape someone, to avoid income taxes, to steal or rob, to kidnap, to trade in narcotics, to drive under the influence of alcohol and to counterfeit currency... It is also illegal to not pay a parking meter, to drive without auto insurance and on and on... The laws of the land are reasonable and appear to be uniformly enforced. Until, you get to the one that states that it is illegal to enter the country, with the intention of staying permanently, without following US immigration regulations. Or the one that says it is illegal to hire undocumented aliens. Those apparently non-enforceable mandates include things like filling out an application for a green card, getting a sponsor and proving yourself to be eligible according to the conditions established in U.S. Immigration LAWS.
That is correct, it is the law and it prohibits the things that it prohibits without prejudice, moreover, it makes no exceptions. Otherwise, we need to ask all of those convicts, currently sitting on death row, to promise they will be good and to let them go free. After that, we can stop worrying about our own rights and liberties, because they will have become as meaningless as the laws that are designed to protect them.
Or we could take a National Vote... and take the fence sitting politicians off the hook, this is a ballot question... Should all of the foreign citizens who want to be here, even though they are breaking the law, be allowed to stay? Yes or NO??? This is a democracy and it should be on the ballot in the next election... You say.. The illegal immigrants won't be allowed to vote and it won't be fair! Fair to whom? Does the word illegal speak for itself? Or should the laws of the land be revised at the whim of the illegal minority to reflect their illegal demands?
Economic impact protests! Is this marching a way of holding the country for ransom demands??? The larger ECONOMIC IMPACT is being felt by Americans who pay for the welfare system, not only for Illegal Immigrants, but for those Americans who can't find employment while Illegal Immigrants are working 'off the books.'
If, someone feels like robbing the bank in New York City today and taking the money to New Orleans, where it will have a positive impact on the economy, then, shouldn't the laws be changed to reflect the needs of those being helped??? NOT!
If, I go into another country and apply for public assistance, then, they are going to laugh in my face... If, I apply for a job, then, they are going to ask for my working papers and laugh in my face... Additionally, they are going to kick me out of the country the moment I run out of Dollars... What part of that reality don't our politicians get? These Illegal Immigrants are afraid that they will be sent home and they should be. Go Home! Fill out papers, get approved and come back LEGALLY!!! You can't do it… Then you don't belong here.
If those Americans, who are employing these Illegal Immigrants and are benefiting from their ILLEGAL Acts were punished in the same way as drug dealers are sanctioned... It could go a long way to ending this mess... If, anything gained by means of ILLEGAL activities is seized and sold to benefit the public, (such as creating wealth by hiring illegal employees,) then, employers would be force to hire citizens or risk losing everything. A convicted felon may not reap a benefit from their crime... may not write a book... may not sell the story... nothing = no benefit … ILLEGAL = ILLEGAL no matter where you are from.
If the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS begin to scream that their children were born here and that they should considered citizens and allowed to stay, again, no one, not even children, should reap a benefit from an ILLEGAL ACT. Let their children return when they are of age and fill out applications according to the laws. Our country is already full of juvenile citizens who will not be permitted to reap the benefit of their parents crimes, should foreign children be exempt???
Don't put them in jail, incarceration is expensive, put them on a train, plane, boat or bus and send them back to the countries that they belong to. Seize any and all property purchased or procured by means of ILLEGAL EMPLOYMENT and use it to buy passage... Put an end to this blatant disregard and disrespect for the laws of our Land. How can the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS clam to love this country when their first acts on this soil are clearly in contravention to our LAWS?
Committing a crime makes you a Criminal... Our system is not set up to tolerate or reward Criminal behavior.... Let the punishment fit the crime... not prison, simply deport them, send them home. If there were a million fewer petty criminals in this country tomorrow, that would be a good start.
If we begin changing the laws after the fact, and to suit the demands of criminals, where will it end?
